E&D Hand in Hand
E&D Hand in Hand is the Corporate Social Responsibility branch of E&D Vietnam Adventures. Unlike a registered NGO, this initiative is woven directly into our business operations and values. Rather than fundraising or soliciting donations, we reinvest a significant portion of our proceeds into supporting vulnerable communities across Vietnam.
Our focus is on real, grassroots impact—delivered through partnerships with local people who know their communities best. From the highlands of Sapa to the streets of Hanoi, our mission is simple: walk hand in hand with those in need.
Ongoing efforts include:
Free Online English Classes: Weekly sessions open to students across Vietnam.
Wednesday Night Street Outreach: Distributing food and essentials to the homeless in Hanoi.
Community Support Projects:
Supporting orphan centers and isolated elderly couples.
Developing farming initiatives to benefit both current and former residents of a leprosy village, creating sustainable sources of food and income.
Providing supplies and assistance to ethnic minority communities in remote regions.
While we do not directly solicit donations, our work is often supported by the kindness of others. Local volunteers contribute their time, effort, and sometimes resources—from meals to clothing to transportation. Much of what we’re able to accomplish happens because of this quiet, generous spirit.
I work in the United States and travel regularly to Vietnam to help guide and maintain these projects. My wife works as a licensed tour guide in Vietnam. We live modestly and choose to reinvest what we can—because we believe in giving back to the communities that have welcomed us.
Every journey booked through E&D Vietnam Adventures directly supports this mission. We don't just explore Vietnam—we walk beside it.
Our Current Projects
-
Free English Classes
Our weekly English class was created to support ethnic minorities like those in Nậm Kheng village—communities where access to formal language education is often out of reach. The class is free and open, though our priority is to serve students from underserved areas. If demand grows beyond capacity, we may limit access to ensure those who need it most receive focused support.

Wednesday Night Feeding in Hanoi
What began as my wife’s simple act of kindness—handing out biscuits, bread, fruit, and milk to the homeless every Wednesday—became the heart of our story, and the beginning of our life together. This tradition has continued ever since, supported by her own funds, kindhearted friends, and occasional small local donations. Today, it remains a core part of our mission, and one of the clearest ways we give back each week.

Community Support Projects
Our community outreach is broad and shaped by the needs of those we meet. From helping an elderly couple living in a floating house, to supporting orphans, to farming projects for current and former inhabitants of a leprosy village, to creating sewing opportunities in remote minority communities—we step in where we’re able. We also support the homeless in rural and urban areas beyond Hanoi. Many of these efforts are woven into our volunteer tours, offering travelers a way to give back with compassion and purpose.
